Above & Beyond feat. Alex Vargas – “Sticky Fingers” – Ultra Music

Is there any act in electronic music quite like Above & Beyond? Songwriters, musicians, producers of forward-thinking club anthems and curators of a label responsible for nurturing talents such as Dusky and Mat Zo, Above & Beyond aka Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki have set themselves even further from the pack in the past 12 months.

Recently announced as the first British DJs to headline Madison Square Garden, Above & Beyond picked up their instruments and performed two acoustic shows at LA’s iconic Greek Theatre last October, before returning to the UK for a sold out DJ show at London’s Alexandra Palace – broadcast to 20 plus million people via their globally syndicated Group Therapy show. The end result? Two weekends, three headline shows, 20,000 tickets and a #1 Twitter trending topic.

The band’s first vocal single of 2014, “Sticky Fingers” (feat. Alex Vargas) is a unique, festival-ready anthem that brings together all that Above & Beyond do best in one deliciously dark hit.

Owing more to Depeche Mode and Coldplay than it does to what commonly gets termed EDM, “Sticky Fingers” opens with a mesmerizing piano line, before Alex Vargas’s haunting vocals tap into the anxiety within a relationship’s immediate break-up – and the psychological hold of a recent ex. Climaxing in a suckerpunch riff that recalls the intense energy of the band’s recent club smash “Hello” (Danny Howard Future Anthem – BBC Radio 1) but hits with a much darker and edgier vibe, “Sticky Fingers” manages to sound like no-one else around right now.

Above & Beyond feat. Alex Vargas “Sticky Fingers” will be released on 19th May via Anjunabeats. The full release will be accompanied by a deep, dreamy house remix from fast rising Anjuandeep talent Lane 8 and a drum & bass rework from Metalheadz’s Om Unit.

The Swedish team is on the go! Southside House Collective feat Gramma Funk – Off The Wall (Deemil Remix)

Southside House Collective – “Off The Wall” – Disco:Wax

Southside House Collective - "Off The Wall" - Disco:Wax

New single from Southside House Collective feat. Gramma Funk “Off The Wall”

One does not simply team up with the legendary lady Gramma Funk. But the three Swedish DJ’s & producer guys in Southside House Collective, iTod, Junior & J.J, have proven their hit-producer talents lately, and their new single ‘Off the wall’ is just released, now with the vocals of Gramma.

The track is a funky, stompin’ track that refuses to be defined by the classic rules on EDM music. It’s breaking barriers, and leaping right into a new refreshing, laid back sexy, and addictive sound.

“I see you baby – Shakin’ Dat Ass” by Groove Armada & Gramma Funk, remember that? We sure do! And the remixes from Fatboy Slim? Oh lord! From that moment on, there was no ending in her success. Films, television, compilations and commercials – the song was all over the place! We’ve teamed up with one of our idols since the dawn of time, and we’re unbelievably proud!!” Says the excited DJ collective.

Since the beginning of the three dance music masters collaboration back in 2008, they have been on the same stage as Axwell, Avicii, Martin Solveig, David Guetta, Felix Da Housecat, Fedde Le Grand, Swanky Tunes and many more, in both their home-country as well as in Spain, Denmark, Portugal and even Mozambique.

Having played on Nova Era Beach Party, Copenhagen Beach Party & Calpe Festival venues just to name a few, they’ve also got their fair share of radio-plays, in countries like Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain and Portugal, with songs and remixes like “Can You Feel The Love”, “Turn On The Radio”, “Fired Up”, “Six Feet Under”, “Saxistic”, “You And Me” and “Tonight, Tonight, Tonight”. Their releases have got support by many big names like Roger Sanchez & David Guetta, and the new single doesn’t seem to let their new hype down.

Roger Shah and DJ Feel featuring Zara Taylor – One Life

Roger Shah and Zara Taylor do already share a common success story, as some of their previous collaborations do are already established as “classic”. Remember their single “Sunlounger feat. Zara – Lost” back in 2008? The tune has been voted by thousands of trance fanatics from all over the world as the “ASOT Tune Of The Year 2008” in Armin van Buuren’s radio show and peaked #1 in dozens of FM radio stations as well as on multiple MP3 stores. The track’s follow-ups were “Found” and “Try To Be Love”, both massively supported by the world’s biggest DJs and charting for many weeks on stores across the globe.Roger Shah lately celebrated great success with his “Sunlounger – Balearic Beauty” album which hit the iTunes Top 100 in more than 50 countries including several #1 positions. “One Life” is his first Roger Shah single since “Higher Than The Sun (with JES and Brian Laruso)” back in 2013 which has been featured in the Beatport Top 100 for many weeks. Zara is widely considered as one of the leading EDM voices, as many say she’s has the most emotional voice of all the great and talented EDM vocalists. She recently released a collaboration single with Alex M.O.R.P.H which has popped up in almost all essential trance playlists. Now Roger and Zara for this brand new piece of work have teamed up with Russia’s amazingly popular DJ Feel. He’s not only known for his numerous releases on the finest labels, but also for his internationally known Trancemission radio and event brand, and is a DJ MAG Top 100 artist for over 6 consecutive years! Roger and Feel’s paths have crossed dozens of times over the last decade, and now finally they managed to work together on a track. The result of the trio’s work is “One Life”, a song that displays great diversity with its emotional lyrics within a banging club production. It’s doesn’t resemble any other track out there, and is truly a unique and outstanding piece of work. Essential!
